Designed and patented by Air Experts Inc, Silicone Valley USA the high-pressure electrostatic technology is proven to kill 99.9% of bacteria and viruses. A high energy ion field is created between the plasma ioniser and the electrostatically charged metal collecting plates which neutralises viruses and bacteria. The electrostatically charged collecting plates then capture the inactivated viruses and bacteria and other air pollutant particles down to 0.0145µm (14 nanometers). The Covid19 virus is known to range in size from 50 – 200 nanometers. 

Efficiency & Performance

Airdog’s filtration system capturers particles down to 0.0145µm. When compared to air purification systems using HEPA filter technology which capturers particles at best down to 0.1 microns (100µm) the Airdog filtration technology capturers particles more than 7 times smaller than the HEPA filter. 

An important parameter when choosing an air purifier is the number of air changes capable over a given time. 3 air changes per hour are assumed to be a comfortable minimum. Clean Air Delivery Rate (CADR) is an important value.

• Airdog X8 model has a CADR of 800m³ per hour. An example is, in a room of 90m² with a ceiling height of 2.5 meters the X8 guarantee an average number of air changes per hour to be 3.56
• Airdog X5 model has a CADR of 340m³ per hour. An example is, in a room of 38m² with a ceiling height of 2.5 meters the Airdog X5 guarantee an average number of air changes per hour to be 3.58 

Airdog has very low energy consumption which can be compared to that generated by a small light bulb. There is high voltage inside, but at very low current – several microamps. The device is powered by DC to prevent any possible interference that could be caused by high voltage.

How Airdog’s patented technology compares to HEPA filter technology

Efficiency: When HEPA filters are not regularly replaced, the cleaning efficiency is decreased. Also, if temperatures are high and the air is humid, moisture and bacteria can accumulate on the filter and be released back into the air around you. The Airdog metal collecting plates can be washed as often as required with no decrease in efficiency. 

Cost: Thanks to Airdog’s technology there is no need to change the filters as they are washable and do not lose efficiency. Moisture and bacteria can accumulate on HEPA filters, so there is a need to replace them which is costly and pollutes the environment.
